Why IndicBase puts PostgreSQL in Mumbai first
IndicBase is Indian developer infrastructure. The first region in the catalog is Mumbai, mapped to AWS ap-south-1, with coordinates taken from that catalog — not a marketing pin dropped on a cartoon map.
Putting Postgres close to the product team and the user base cuts tail latency for auth, reads, and writes. It also keeps data residency conversations honest: the database you provision is the region you selected.
Other catalog regions exist so the map and project picker stay future-proof. They are not silently treated as live capacity until infrastructure is connected.
